Are you interested in writing scientific articles or news stories for a wider audience? Or maybe you would like to get involved in making videos for BlueSci? Whether to promote your own area of expertise or to simply communicate interesting scientific principles within the public arena, being a member of BlueSci gives you the satisfaction of having your work published across the university and gives you the chance to participate directly with our news, magazine and media sections - something that will look fantastic on your CV! Being a member will give you many benefits, including free entry to organised talks (normally £2 per talk), access to CamTools, the use of several thousand pounds worth of cutting-edge professional media production equipment and the chance to have your work published in the University of Cambridge's leading science communication magazine! You will also get the chance to join in on a host of fun social activities and events and even get your very own BlueSci membership card! Previous members have even had the chance to make movies overseas... Check out the Videos section to see the kind of projects you could get involved in. To join for one year costs just £10 and you can pay either via Paypal by clicking on the link below or by using the University Mailing System (UMS). To join via UMS, simply make a cheque payable to "University Science Productions" and place in an envelope addressed to "Jamie Farnes, Trinity Hall". Your nearest friendly Porter's lodge should be more than happy to mail this for you via UMS, and you won't even need a stamp... Click on the button to pay via Paypal! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us at membership@bluesci.co.uk. We look forward to hearing from you! |
